The Firm represented Charles Tate in claims against an insurance company that provided Worker’s Compensation coverage. Defendant insurance company acted in bad faith by denying certain Worker’s Compensation benefits to Mr. Tate. The judgment in favor of our client, Mr. Tate, ranks among the largest civil judgments on behalf of an individual person in the United States (2009). A confidential settlement was reached.
Cause No. D412-CV-2008-00116; BSYC Attorney Ethan Shaw, as co-counsel, successfully represented the Estate of Alfred Gonzales v. St. Vincent Hospital, et al. (Cause No. D412-CV-2008-00116) in the Fourth Judicial District Court of San Miguel County, New Mexico in a medical malpractice case where the plaintiff allegedly incurred bed sores as a result of negligent treatment at a hospital.
