Jon B. Burmeister received his Civil Engineering degree from Iowa State University. After serving as Second Lieutenant in the US Army (including a year-long stint in Vietnam), he returned to education at the University of Texas School of Law. Upon graduation, he passed the Texas Bar exam–ranking third among all applicants.
Legal Background
Burmeister began practicing with the Rovost, Umphrey, Doyle and Mehaffy Law Firm before opening the Burmeister & Barron Law Firm. From there, he became head of the litigation department at Moore, Landrey, Garth & Jones. Currently, Burmeister has partnered with BSYC Attorneys at Law. He’s certified in Civil Trail Law, Civil Appellate Law, and Personal Injury Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
